Reflective

Reflective Essay

I have a lot of hopes as a photographer in the new year. I want to grow my photography skills, creativity, and expressing my creativity.

My photography skills aren't top notch, so I know I need to work on them, but I want to use my other creative skills to make up for my downfalls. I'd like to focus less on just taking a good picture and focus more on taking a picture that speaks and is unique. Some of my ideas include an 80's cyberpunk themed shoot, and a family collage printed onto wood. Using very outlandish ideas can really draw eyes, because it isn't what you always see.

I don't quite have any photography related business goals. I have personal business ventures that I'm working on at the moment, and a busy photography business would interrupt that. It would be something cool to try in the future, but for now I'm set. I enjoy photography as a hobby, so it is still something that I'd like to expand on and get more and more creative with.

I would really like to incorporate photography into physical projects more also. I love the idea of printing onto wood and making collages out of many images. I am a huge fan of crafting work, like woodworking, metalworking, etc. So throughout this year in photography I plan on using creativity and physical products to set my photography ahead.

6. They are surreal, but show all sides of a real life object

7. It can be hard to get a simple, nice looking photo. It also takes a lot of time to get one image

8. Probably easier, because the images and editing software are all in one place

9. I would want to use an animal, they are constantly switching their focuses and expressions
